CVT transmission

I had the impression that the CVT was discontinued starting with the 2nd gen model year 2007 base. Is this correct? Somehow I am reading some info that the CVT is used up until model year 2008 base, and that he 6-speed auto starts with the model 2009 base.

Are you referring to thr convertible. That continued as the first gen up until about a week ago when the last rolled out of Oxford. CVT went away on all Coupes starting the 2007 model year

What callahan said is right. The CVT transmission is no longer available on the 2007+ hatchbacks. The current transmission on the 2007+ hatchback is made by AISIN.

The 2008 convertible still has the CVT transmission, but the 2009 convertibles will have AISIN transmissions.

You did mean to ask about the automatic transmission, right?

By the way, welcome to NAM!
