R56 Apple is almost a month old....
Thanks for sharing your positive reviews. I started getting concerned last night with one particular forum of complaints on the site. My MINI is due in this weekend (yet to be confirmed with the dealer) and the last thing I want is a car frought with problems. I've had that before and couldn't wait until the car was up for lease -- this time is different since I'm buying Sir William.
You have to remember that the silent majority of us have had no serious issues with our MINIs. Or even minor ones for that matter.
I mean, who's going to post "my hood scoop is not melting", or "my CVT transmission is still working fine" or "my wiper jets are not weeping".
MINIs have a great warranty anyway.

I just have to say my hood scoop is not melting, my steptronic transmission is still working fine and my wiper jets are not weeping.
I have had some cosmoline drip though.
However I've been able to clean it off without problem.

Sandy that is great to hear that
I saw your CarDomain page and that is a nice collection of some of the cars you have owned in the past. Now you need to add Apple to that list.
61 cars owned and counting, nice going.

I've been buying Apple since 1984, and using before then. I did order the first IBM PC for the place I worked, and programmed on it, but the Mac returned me to Apple. I did get a Sony Vio some years ago for a special project, but hate its unreliability (Windos) and it languishes.

Mac... I got the first Mac (funny little machine with the CRT built in...of Opus fame
) when it came out... amazing little machine back then... and I prefer MAC's for imagining processing (I do a lot of image enhancement...old photographs to be digitized and then enhanced for research...am in the historic preservation/architecture field. Still use PC though...mainly for simple word processing, e mail and this post.
CyberGypsy...quite a collection of vehicles... we are close kindred since I tend to do somewhat what you have done. My first car was a new Fiat 124 coupe Abarth model...in Italian racing orange. Owned only three American made cars... a 1973 455 Trans Am (customed order so had special CAI, no markings etc ...called a 'sleeper') and now two Corvettes... Lingenfelter C6 and a 1990 ZR-1 (show car)... rest of cars were Euro GT types. I think the one I miss most was a beautiful tricked out Audi TT... very quick with the engine set up

Several AMG SLKs, Lotus etc... Thanks for sharing what you have...fun to compare other 'car nuts'
Fortunately, for me Ellen is a car nut too...or simply tolerates my passion

+1
Surfblue says: Big +1 (PLUS ONE!) here!
16 months of ownership and I just drive and do the basic maintenance on the 07 MCS, then drive some more.
This is a good forum, and the Mini is a good car. Best to remember that MANY Mini owners never even visit this site, many never register and simply scan the posts, and complaints and problems tend to look much larger in numbers here. I put up a motto "NAM...where group therapy meets the road!" when I first got into this forum, as a joke...but sometimes I wonder. Drive on!!
