removing and painting head light and grill trim

ok im wanting to paint my headlight and grill trim myself and need pointers to help me out
1.how to remove trim peices
2.best painting method...sanding the chrome off then painting maybe

any help?

a lil search is all you need...

in terms of long lasting... vinyl i believe, is the way to go cuz it wont chip
