Color Question...What is the name...

What is the name of the color that is on the 2nd gen MS that looks like a light mint green metallic color?

I have seen this color recently driving near my house several times and never saw it before and its deff the new generation. Its a regular coupe and not an S.

Thanks

I believe the color you're referring to is "Silk Green Metallic", a Cooper only color, no longer available...and my all-time favorite!!! (I hope they bring it back!)

Silk Green was a 1st Gen color and discontinued in March 2003.

Here's one with a black roof ...

To my eye, it's always been lighter/softer than the two pictured as well, though I do think it's just the lighting playing tricks on us. Very rare and classy color!

You could do a search. You could look through the gallery section.

The only reason I said sparkling silver is a friend of mine recently ordered a MINI. When I asked him what color he ordered, he told me the light green color. I thought hmmm didn't even know there was a light green. When I asked him the color name, he said sparkling silver. After I thought about it I thought, yah I guess in certain light conditions it could look greenish after all it is a metalic.

I would do a search of sparkling silver and British Racing green although the BRG is very dark and doesn't sound like what you are referring to.
