How do you feel about the quality of your paint job?

I have noticed that when viewed in direct sunlight, Laser Blue looks kind of blotchy (especially the doors). Do you feel the same way, or is it just me?

My laser blue looks perfect. I dont think it looks blotchy at all. Did you try to polish it?

 

Mine also looks perfect, haven't noticed anything wrong with the paint job.

My 2008 Laser Blue is quite possibly the best factory paint job of the 5 MINIs I've owned to date.

 

Maybe yours might of been damaged & repainted at the port.

 

Actually, I don't own a Laser Blue MINI. I have an Electric Blue 2003 R53, but I am on the wait list for a new JCW, and I'm planning on Laser Blue.

However, I have noticed a few Laser Blue MINI's around the SoCal area (including a new one on the lot today) that appear to have blotchy paint. It's especially noticeable on the doors in direct sunlight. Maybe it's just my imagination or some weird reflections, but I've seen it on multiple cars. Reminds me of the thin silver paint job on my old '03 Honda CRV.

Just thought I would ask if other's noticed. Thanks for the input!

Another LB MCS here and no sign of blotchy paint anywhere, paint looks fresh and beautiful

 

Looks pretty awesome so far. Although I've only had it for like two weeks.

 

Mine is fine as well. Actually, I often receive positive comments on it.
