Tire Pressure

Newbee here - What tire pressure will give me the longest tire life on 17" run flats and what mileage can I expect on the first set with typical driving (50/50 city hwy)?

Can't tell you the mileage but I'm running 35psi on mine. If you look in the manual, it starts off at like 32psi and goes up from there as you put more people in the car with more luggage. (I think it finishes off at like 36psi)

Within reason, the more air makes the tires harder (firmer) and create less rolling resistance.

Assuming you're not over-inflating them (it will wear out the centers) they will give you better gas mileage with higher pressure.

For the MCS with four passengers and luggage the manual says 36 psi for speeds under 100 mph, or over 100 mph with two people.

With one person, 36 psi seems to give a pretty stiff ride. For one person under 100 mph, I would think you could go down to 34 or 35 psi.

I picked up Bridgestone RFT's and they told me to run them on 38PSI! I run my fronts on 37 and my rears on 35.

I've been running 36 psi cold tire pressure all around on my 17" Dunlop RFT.5600 miles with even tire wear so far.I might bump up the tire pressure to 38 psi but if the ride is too firm at that pressure I will back it down to 36 psi again.
