Thanks, I hadn't noticed that until after I looked through the owners manual. I was looking through new posts and didn't pay attention the the section I was in. Bummer for us older MINI owners.

There's a cd in a plastic slippy in mine and... please don't laugh, a tire pressure gauge and the keychain that was purchased to match my first car.

The tire pressure guage and keychain have ridden around in every car I have ever driven. The tire pressure guage is there because I've always had one there. The keychain hung off the rear view mirror in my last car, but since it's a carved piece of stone that's been glazed (it has green mark in the center that exactly matches the color of my first car), I decided that I liked my windshield and chucked it in the glove box in my previous car. When I got the MINI and looked around for a place to stow the keychain, the James Bond was the obvious location. It's my good luck charm. I'd be miserable if I ever lost it. Silly and childish, I know... but there you have it.

Seriously, though, I've got the iPod adapter, so I have my iPod in there.

Now THAT'S incredibly sensible and very smart. I should do that.

For now, however, I keep my teeny tiny Glock and a microfiber cloth to keep my piano black super shiny all the time.

I'd um... be a bit careful pushing around on that section of dash... if I recall correctly, that's where the airbag used to be stored. Might find a secret compartment in a bad way...

My Garmin Nuvi..........which, when using, I attach to the speedometer face with the suction cup mount. In earlier cars, with factory GPS, I used to watch the moving map display even when not using the nav feature......but that gets old quickly........now mount it only when actually using it......and the "secret" compartment is great for hiding it.

I keep one cigerette and one match, a rubberband, a moist towelette, 3 toothpicks, 1 stick of gum, two gold teeth, an orange peel, one clean sock and finally....

... a note that says "Welcome, you now have two options. 1 is leave something personal in here with the rest of this crap or 2 get out of my car and remember, never touch a mini owners secret compartment."
