I'd try my H&K Expert if I could get my SC open... They told me when I took delivery a year ago last April it'd been locked for some kind of safety reason at the factory.

Maybe 'cause they say it was going to Illinois they knew I'd be "safer" with it inaccessible? (I'd love to know how to open it, just to see how much space I've been doing without for almost 16 months.)

Fugetaboutit, I couldn't fit my USP45c in there, much less an Expert. That's why I went with the Purple People Eater.

Your SA isn't going to help get it open?

Where'd you get the Purple-People Eater? I checked at the pet adoption and they said they'd never had one come in for re-adopting. So we stuff our Attack Yorkie in there.

Seriously - a note pad, some misc receipts/atm slips/the Garmin. We put the Garmin in there in case the Yorkie gets lost.

You should be able to get yours unsealed.
They were originally declared illegal in illinois.
But there was a court decision saying that they
are now legal.

Correct on the SunPass/EzPass and however else its called. (They are prepaid tolls.)

And in IL, I believe hidden compartments in a car were illegal.

ah, thanks, so you can just leave it in there and not have to worry about taking it out when going through a toll?

The thing in my secret compartment!

I bought some really thin extension cables (at Fry's) for the iPod adapter and was able to run them up to the secret compartment. It took some doing but I did it. Now my iPod travels and stays in there all the time like it should. The cables can't be seen from outside of the car and barely from inside the car unless you look really hard. The iPod is out of sight completely! I had it in my glove box but I wanted it hidden in secret! Love that compartment. It still has room for my Garmin or sunglasses or wallet or whatever other small item if I need to leave them in the car for some reason.

I am probably the most boring... i keep napkins, coupons, and my boyfriend's iPod in there. He doesn't have a port for an iPod in his car so he just leaves it in my car

I remember reading about this in my manual. My 2007 Cooper S does not have such a compartment and/or the thing won't open. Shrug...not like there's anything in my glovebox anyway.
