Congratulations and welcome to MINIvers!

Sounds like you've covered all your bases. Sounds like a beautiful car. The important options here on NAM seem to be the Xenon and rear fog lamps (so you can fill all your toggles).

Now all you have to do is name it and track its production (and of course post pictures when it arrives).

I wanted to name my mini Ethan, but all my pals say its weird for me to name it a guys name.

Whateverrr, my last cars name (98' Malibu) was dubbed Earl. The current car (03' 300M Special) is named POS.

Forget what your friends think, you'll know the right name when you drive it.

Hey, my current car is named POS too! (it's a 1989 Chevy S-10 pickup)

I'm stoked about getting a MINI...looking forward to the AC and cruise control

I'm looking forward to getting rid of my auto ac in my current car. It never works and I always have to have it set at LO in order to get cold air. Anything above LO blows out hot air and makes me want to take a sledgehammer to the console.

There will be certain features of my current car that I will miss (a fully loaded 300M Special Sedan did have a ton of toys in it), but I've wanted a Mini since before I started driving.

Let's see, you should add:

DTC - improved traction control
Anthracite Headliner - goes better with Piano Black than the standard color
NAV - integrates many features and settings, and has a nice graphic with PDC showing where you area bout to hit something.
Wooden shift **** and ebrake handle...

I could never part with my Tomtom! Nor would I ever spend $2000 on Navi, hah.

I second the anthracite headliner. I haven't really even seen it yet but I'm sold on it just from what I've heard on this forum. Should look sweet with the piano black too.

YMMV. I have had auto A/C in multiple Audi and Acura cars, all of which worked perfectly. Set it and forget it. I would not buy a car without it now.

Of course, my moms G35 coupe's Auto AC works wonderfully.

I am well aware, it'll be a birthday present to myself (Oct birthday).

I'm not ordering mine until next month, so I'm expecting an early Christmas present. It's going to be a long fall. How many days until Christmas...?

Definately add the Anthracite Headliner....it will make the interior match better especially since you are getting piano black trim.

Another thing you may want to think about is getting white wheels. With the white roof & mirrors, white wheels really look nice and they are a no-cost option. However, they are probably a pain to keep clean. However, I did see a few in my dealer's showroom with white wheels/roof/mirrors and they looked REALLY nice.

My last comment is to make sure you like the armwrest. When I was first looking and pricing out my Cooper, I just assumed that I needed the get the armrest. However, when I actually sat in a car and examined it, I decided it was a POS and actually detracted from the beautiful interior, so I decided not to order it. And guess what....I don't even miss it at all.

I had auto AC in my last 3 cars, but when I saw how it was implemented in the Mini, I decided not to get it. It just seemed like they tried to squeeze too many buttons into too small of a place, and it looked like it would be difficult to operate when driving. The standard AC system has 3 buttons and one ****. The auto AC system squeezes about 10 buttons and the screen into the same small space.

I need an armrest. When I was test driving the car, the window was too small for me to prop my left arm up against (like I do in my current car) so I was steering with that arm and my right arm needed something to rest on.

I also want to get a different set of wheels after I get the car. I love the JCW 18" Black R105 wheels (not the size though), but I can't justify $3k for wheels.

For A better Armrest take a look at the (Euro Armrest by MINI) with it you can still have the rear cupholder,
but if you have to remove that slide-top armrest, then you must also buy the rear console with the cupholder.

Is it higher? and is it difficult to install?

The top of mine is a little over eight inches above the retracted parking brake handle.

At 12" x 4.5" x4.5" it looks about twice the size of the slide top version, comfortable fit for two elbows

Install is less than a twenty minute affair with a T-40 Torx to remove the aft, inner seat rail bolts and loosen the forward, it is made to slide under those rails and reinstall/tighten those four bolts.

The padded top matches the standard MINI interior and it is easy to recover with whatever material/leather you desire, as seen on that minspeed's website.

Very nice - Congratulations! Like many others have said, the anthracite headliner looks great. Also did you see a car with the chrome line interior? It's sort of a love it or hate it thing (and I obviously fall on the love it side). Also check to see what your insurance discount is for the factory alarm. It might pay for itself over the life of the car.
