Yellow triangle with ! in odometer window?

I just finished installing an Alta CAI, all went well and the installation was easy. (As part of the install procedure, the battery is disconnected.) When I hooked things back up and went for a test spin, I noticed a yellow triangle with and exclamation point inside between the total miles and trip odometer reading. Can't find it anywhere in the manual..... any clues?

-dont know about 2nd gen cars, but on 1st gen's this can be turned on/off by toggle switch.-look for one marked dsc or asc.
If you see icon illuminated, then traction control is disengaged(more fun)

As far as I'm aware, this has nothing to do with the DSC on gen 2. :(

If I leave my car running and open the driver's door, I will get that exclamation point.

I think it's trying to tell me something.

Just went for another ride and solved the problem. Turning off the DSC showed the larger triangle in the upper tach window and the smaller one remained between odometer read-outs. Turning DSC back on cleared it. :-)

I don't know what yellows means, but if there's an orange triangle on your car, it's means your Amish.

Call the guys at Alta, they could probably clear it up for you quickly.

If it's right between the odo and the trip odo, I think it's a low fuel indicator. Mine came on when I got to two candy corns, and then went wway after fill-up.

I was guessing that since I didn't have the tach display set to MPH and not to "Range" it was trying to give me a head-up that I was about to run out of gas!

Must be some sort of multi-purpose warning then...just to alert to you SOMETHING that you need to check?!? That's kinda disconcerting!

Maybe you disconnected the DSC (Dynamic System Control) sensors and you just need to reconnect them.

When you start up your MINI whatever is causing that small warning triangle should show in your main tach display followed by a chime. That light stays on as a reminder that something needs addressed. It comes on for low gas,oil service, brake service,TPMS issues,CEL,disabled ASC.If you don't have any alerts in your tach at startup and this light is on I'd call your SA.
