I'm off to order my 2008 Mini S Hatchback tomorrow! I am so excited! I'm trading in my 2004 BMW 330xi. This Mini is going to rock...I'm ordering every possible package available on the crazy thing. Now if I can just stay excited for the 8 weeks it is going to take to build and deliver! Just had to say HI! I'm soon going to be one of you! HURRAY!

Wow...quick response! Thanks for making me feel welcome! I'm ordering an Astro Black with rooster red interior/brushed metal dash. Cold Weather, Convenience, Premium, Xenon lights, White Checkered sunroof w/ checkered mirrors, etc. etc. I really hope the 8 weeks goes fast. I think I'll be in Build 33. Can't wait. Weeeee!

Awesome! I just ordered mine today and wonder how long it takes the production number to get to the site. It's telling me that number xxx6141 is a silver cooper s, but mine is black. I just ordered it 2 hours ago. Probably hasn't been entered into the system yet? What do you think?

 

I got my production number...build week 32. I went to the owner's lounge but I think my production number must not be entered yet, as it says it is for a silver S and mine is Astro Black. How long does it typically take for your number to work on the site? Any ideas? I'm so excited!!!

Congratulations, you have lots of company here waiting with you . I just ordered the 4" stubby antenna for mine, because I don't like the look of the 18" radio control car antenna that comes with it. I'll order other various things for it while I'm waiting as well. Not sure what I'll order next, maybe mats

 

Is the stubby antenna a self-install? I thought about that myself. Any word on whether there is a difference in reception, versus the 18" antenna?

A) Yes, self install... twist and screw

B) Yes, there is a noticeable difference. Obviously the shorter you go, the worse it gets. When I bought my first Mini, I did the same, I bought a short (3-4") before I even got my car. I had it on for 3-4 days and took it off.

Though it's a little on the long side, it works well.
