Yippie!
Finally, after nearly a year, I am done (hopefully) dressing up my 07 Laser Blue Mini Cooper S.
There are a lot of pics. Sorry. But I am a photographer for a living, and it is hard for me to narrow images down.
To give some insight to the car and the people who added all this stuff. Honestly, most of it is OEM. However, the custom checkered roof was done by a local guy who does decals. The stripes were also done by him.
Lyle at Vinyl Styles did the checkered dash and door trims. As well as the checkerboard gas cap, black-out headlight, taillight, belt line and grill surrounds.
The pool ball shift **** was sent to Whalen Shift *****.
The scoop is the new M7 Vortex scoop.
Yes, the tires are the real deal. GP Mini tires. It took a while, but the guy who does all the work on my car is a saint, and he got them for me. Let's make him a double saint. I live in Chicago, and hit the pot hole of the century this winter, and damaged the tire. Tire insurance covered it, and we were able to get a new one! Patience.
Other random OEM items include JCW Engine Kit, JCW brakes, JCW Spoiler, JCW Suede Steering Wheel, Hyper Sport Package, NAV system, painted tire wells, painted window arches, tinted windows, checkerboard light up door sills, checkerboard floor matts, and anything I can add to the car that has a checkerboard theme.

I was born in San Francisco and raised there. I left in 99 and been living in Chicago since. I miss SF. But I don't miss the price it costs to live there. LOL.
Very nice !!
The only thing I'd have done differently, is the number on the doors. I'd have stuck with the "10" off the shift ****.
Very sharp MINI, one of the best carried out plans I've seen for any MINI.

The entire door panel has to come off.
Those suckers (the door oval rings) don't even snap right off once the entire panel has been removed from the door. The ovals have plastic welds on the other side holding them in place and need to be dremmeled off to remove the oval panels.
So once you pop them off, the welds are broken for life. You then have to get entirely new welds to held them back in place once the ovals have been wrapped.
I was without door panels for a bout 2 months.

Yea, the repetition of the number would have been nice. However, the sticker came as 37 (only), and the pool ball was a find on ebay. never seen a pool ball like that in my life!
It has this odd, floating point in the center where the other 10 is. Kind of freaky. Plus, I lucked out that it was the same blue as my car.
I have no clue! Lyle at Vinyl Styles covered the door and dash, as well as blacked out my chrome on the exterior.
The wheels are GP wheels. Good ol GP rims. Bought from Mini. But if you read the story above in my first post, it ain't easy getting them.
Mini International does not let these things go without the attached VIN.
