In transit

My new MINI Cooper S is in transit somewhere Atlantic ocean, and it is expected to arrive in New Jersey Port on 6/15/08.
I'm thinking about applying CapitalOne Auto loan with 5.29% rate for 60 months. I've been thinking between purchase and lease, and finally decided to purchase and take care of my new baby for next 7 to 10 years. :-)
Is there anyone who know how long it takes from New Jersey Port to final purchase point? I need this time period for auto loan application.
Also I wonder how you guys purchased your MINI, lease or purchase?
I can't wait to meet my new MINI.
Thank you for your time.

I don't think you can go wrong either way. these cars have such high resale value that the purchase is a solid choice, as well as the lease is great too with the high residual values.

But if you can do the 5.29% @ 60 mos. you will come out a head in my opinion.

Let me know if I can help with anything on your new baby!

You might also search for threads about "PenFed". It's the Pentagon Credit Union! They're offering 4% and if I recall, anyone can join for $20.

Due 6/15, you'll probably have it by 6/22.

PenFed is 4.25%....I know b/c I have the check sitting here since my car and yours are probably both on Fidelio arriving tomorrow into the NYC VDC. I was at the dealership today was told it could take 3-7 days or so to get from VDC to dealership in NJ.

wow.. maybe our new babies are on "the same boat."

Thank you for your info.
My VIN is WMWMF73518TV373**. This afternoon I checked tracking information, and found that there are about 331 vehicles with VIN in one vessel.
Very very excited... I also checked Penfed, and will apply auto loan from there on Monday. 4.25% is the lowest rate. I though CapitalOne had the lowest. But thanks to this forum, I found PenFed. :-)

I imagine it's difficult for anyone to tell you how long it will take for the car to get from NJ to your dealer without knowing where you are.

I got the estimated date of arrival to NJ from dealership. And I went to tracking site that I found on this forum.
