Don't recommend getting the sport stripes at the dealership, when you can find them online for 30-60 dollars a set, so long as you have someone good put them on for you, providing you don't do it yourself.

Has anyone inquired to see if the dealer will install aftermarket stripes? I don't care about the cost, but I see that there are more options aftermarket, so I was thinking of perhaps going that way, but I'd like someone to install them that knows how.

Vinyl. All factory stripes are vinyl and most aftermarket ones are as well. So unless you truly want a custom paint job it'll all be vinyl.

How can the dealer have the ability to extend the sport stripes all the ay down front and back, as the kit doesn't seem to come this way? I'm ordering the JCW Aero kit and I want the sport stripes all the way down front and back.

The way it works at the dealership is that they have one guy who does the window tinting, striping, and the invisi-shield install....all he does is cut extra pieces of vynal...for front and back bumpers on my JCW Aero kit they charged me $15 total...i thought it was reasonable and I didnt have to deal with it myself.

That's a lot of votes for Sport stripes !

But, I rarely go along with the crowd.

I ordered the standard bonnet stripes as part of a package. If you don't like them, they can be removed later.

But if you are not ordering a package with them, just hold off until after delivery....then see.

im not ordering my own, but its not a car off the lot either. its a car that someone else ordered then cancelled. its going to arrive aboard the rigoletto and to the dealership by monday.

it has the sports package so free bonnet stripes, however if they werent put on when they made the car, will i still get them for free at the dealership? are the dealers the one who put bonnet stripes on cars or is it the people who built the car in the UK? i couldnt have ordered them before because the car was already configed by someone else and had everything but the stripes........

thanks

If the bonnet stripes weren't put on at the factory, then the dealer's service dept. will put them on for free for you, because that was the deal. Stripes of any sort are put on at the factory, I think, if that's in the original order.

Hope this helps.

For those with a clear bra system (a must around here in Northern Virginia) does the clear bra effect the appearance of the bonnet stripes? In particular if the stripe is black (appears most are satin finish as opposed to glossy) does the clear bra make the satin become glossy?
Thanks
Michael
