Side Scuttles

I'm getting some checkered scuttles. Are they difficult to install?

2 minute job.

Pop the bonnet.
Push the side marker towards the front.
Remove the connector at the back of the lamp.
Reverse procedure.

And my dealer wanted $100 for that?!? I had them throw in the "black jack" side scuttles to earn my order, and they at first balked because they'd "have to install them, and it's a $100 job"!

I have a suggestion. The side scuttle clips to the carrier and I had one of mine fall off. I purchased the scuttles and carriers from Outmotoring and they sent me 2 new ones after I returned the one I had left. When I got the replacements I used a hot glue gun to place a bead of glue between the carrier and scuttle clips to ensure that another one wouldn't fall off. You might want to think about this mod to the install as those inserts are over $100 and the glue is on the inside and cannot be seen.

I'm thinking about the same when my pepper white comes in. Are you doing any other accents in the same style, or just side scuttles? Can you post a pic when you're done - would love to see it!

I'm getting black bonnet stripes this weekend (they were supposed to be on the car at delivery but somehow slipped through the cracks). I am getting the license plate holders with checked pattern and will probably get a black out grill. That will be it. I'll post pics when all done.

Awesome, I really look forward to seeing it. My car, which is look exactly the same (white/black and black stripes) is coming in the next few days. I've been looking at different things, but can't find any pics of what I want.

Do you have to buy new carriers in order to install aftermarket scuttles or can you reuse the existing carriers? I'm guess that if you can't it's because the stock are all one piece? I'd look but i can only just barely see my car out the window when at work.

Not sure about aftermarket. I'm getting scuttles from the dealer.

When you get them, would you be interested in selling your old ones? Please pm me if you are.
