Night Fire XFire, My First MINI

I've been meaning to post for the last week, but I just now got the time.

I just got a new MINI! NightFire MC. I went to the dealer with hopes of ordering an S, but I saw this little guy and fell in love!

I *heart* my MINI!

What are some of the first things I should do in my MINI?

I already went on a road trip. I turn up the music to listen to the 10 speaker sound. I turn off the music so I can listen to the engine. I wave a fellow MINIs. I wave at other drivers. I have a map, but it doesn't matter where I'm going. I have a smile on my face when I'm at the gas station. I have a smile on my face when I'm driving, thinking about driving, not driving, driving, idling, talking about driving...you get the picture. I'm sure you've all experienced the same.

Oh, I won't eat in my car and I won't let the bugs ruin the paint. Once I arrived at my destination I religiously wiped off all the bugs smattered on the front and mirrors =?

I don't have a name for him yet. But he is feisty =P

Also, where is the Night Fire Owner's club?

Well, from the sound of things I think you got most things right....congrats on your new NFR!!! I'd suggest studying around here to get the proper detailing supplies...mistakes can be made by the unaware and you don't want that to happen to your lovely NFR paint now, do you??? There is a NFR club...it is here.

Welcome and good choice. I said this on another post recently. These forums are mostly dominated by the MCS, so it is nice to see another convert coming to love the balance and economy of the MC. My first fill up today with premium at over $4.00 a gallon is bringing many more converts over as well. MPG on this fill up was 41.7 measured at the pump (44.7 on OBC) with about 200 miles of interstate driving and the rest around town, so I too smile when I pass the pump!!

I was at my dealer this last weekend, most of his lot cars were MCS, with few MCs and they sell out of orders almost as soon as the allotment comes.

Congrats katierocco!

That's a nice looking Cooper you got there!

NFR has an air of elegance... Sporty yet classy!

Seems like you're doing all things correctly but like gokartride says,

"I'd suggest studying around here to get the proper detailing supplies...mistakes can be made by the unaware and you don't want that to happen to your lovely NFR paint now, do you???"

Thanks for the link to your pics, most enjoyable!

Enjoy & Motor On!

great colour choice. you might want to think about an invisible protection on the front. they can get pretty nicked up otherwise.

Of all the things I didn't get that I wish I had gotten is a 3M clear bra for the front 1/3 of the bonnet, to cover just above the headlights. That's where the rock dings occur. Think seriously about that while she's new.
