Front Tag

Told the dealer not to install the front tag bracket on possible purchase... got a call today that they mounted it...!!! Told them I would take a look at it, but they may lose this sale and have to order another one... guess once the holes are in, they are in... any creative thoughts on how to plug the holes??? Yes, my state requires a front tag... but I have another vehicle which I did not apply plate to front and have been driving it for 7 years now with no problems. Seems cops only pay attention to the corvettes running around.

Make sure....the front center-mounted plate looks pretty good on R56, imo, as bumper is very wide and plain and there is no split grill to compete with as on first gen. Add to that the bumper seams and dimples (for drilling) that are totally hidden by the plate mount. I think MINI made being legal (as in my state also) pretty easy...and aesthetically pleasing, too!!!

I've told my sales nerd the same thing; "DON'T DRILL HOLES IN MY FRONT BUMPER!!!!!"

We'll see when it gets here in the next 10-14 days......

I have the tow hook license attachment bracket sitting in the garage waiting to be installed.

You better get there when it rolls off the truck and stick a note on the front bumper. I just saw the one we had on order the other day and told them... two things... the plate on the front bumper pee'd we off and the rubber weather strip under the chrome strip between the glass and the body on the rear was rolled up under the chrome strip...no idea how this got past quality control... so I said PASS... and plan to try again. No hurry on our part since we will be traveling most of the summer... who knows may wait now to see what the new black paint is.

By the way... the plate being put on was an honest mistake, and these sales people have been great and patient.
