R56 Roof Rack through a car wash?

Has anyone gone through a automatic car wash with their roof rack system on their car?

Unfortunately, I think you'll find that a lot of us tend to hand wash our cars... I have the rack on mine, but I haven't gone through a car wash. If I can dig out my booklet for the rack, it may have a recommendation.

I use to hand wash my 04 MCS but every since I got the new mini I haven't had the time to hand wash it . The rack seems very strong and I'm hoping I can just go through the car wash.

Use a wand car wash if you can't hand wash it.

On the couple of RARE times we needed a quick wash - yes - we did go through a car wash - and the rack was fine...

the oem rack is VERY sturdy. I really like it.

I would try to avoid most car washes though, they tend to scratch up your paint REALLY well.

If i had to, i would go for a touchless carwash.
