K&N Filter

Hey everyone! I was wondering if anyone had ever installed a K&N air filter into their mini (stock air box, not after market intake). I recently got mine and noticed that the mini's idle was very irregular. I definitely noticed a small increase in acceleration (small, but noticeable) but removed the filter because the idle bugged the heck out of me.

Any ideas?

K+N FILTER

unless you left something loose causing a vacuum leak the computer may need a little time to adjust to the added airflow

I had the K&N filter for the stock air box (until i got the JCW kit) and never noticed a strange idle. I seemed to hear more sound from the induction.

I agree with rodhotter...try to re-install it and see if it makes a difference. That was the first thing I changed in my Mini in 2002 before going to a CAI I did not have the idle changing.
