My car actually will be here in 2 weeks. Still on the ship Powdercoating will be the first thing I do. I haven't seen any s-winders black yet. I know someone on here has them. Show yourself!!
These..
Several years ago I had chrome wheels which I had ordered from TireRack, and within 2 years the chrome was peeling off in a few spots. I have considered powdercoating wheels before, but I worry that it will give the same result.
Maybe I'm old, but I don't understand what the attraction is to black wheels. It can't be to hide brake dust. Can someone tell me why this is the new trend? I suppose it's the same as why one prefers vanilla to chocolate, but I wanted to ask anyway.

My reason is because my MINI will be LB/B and I want it to match my roof/mirror caps/grille
Just wondering if anyone has attempted this. I really want black rims, and I'm thinking of just getting my S-winders powdercoated. Thoughts?
