How Do You Make the R56 MINI Sound Like This?

As the title says, and here is the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SN-oc...eature=related

Can someone please let me know what mod's will allow the R56 MCS to sound like this? ie; what exhaust system specifically and the like.

It sounds like my E46 M3 with an Eisenmann Miesterschaft Race Exhaust and I want that sound for my MCS!

I dont know anybodies MINI that revs up and down that fast. I wont say its impossible, but Id guess the Eisenmann as well with no cats.

Actually, matty125 you make a great point. Taking another look at the video with your thoughts in mind, I can see exactly what is causing you to believe it's suspicious. I am trying to look at the exhaust for any form of movement, smoke, mist, anything, and I see nothing.

I'm not a sound engineer, so I have no way for me to decipher whether the sound I'm hearing is coming from the front of the camera, or the side/behind.

Hopefully other's will chime in.

There's a car that's sitting right off camera that's probably revving. If the MINI was making that sound with those kinds of revs, you'd definitely see the exhaust puffing a little bit of smoke.

If I were to guess, I'd say it's either an M3 like you suggested, or possibly a stock Ferrari 360 Modena making the noise.

obviously with the stock exhaust tips on it, it PROB. means that the exhaust has not been changed, meaning that is DEF. not the MINI making the revs....the guy has a nice trick goin on, does make it sound pretty mean, but yah def. not it...

99.9% positive thats an E46 M3 making that noise. Such a distinct sound. It's clearly not the MCS...

Sorry....

I agree, my uncles got an e46 m3, and i have seen a lot of m3 vids, its an m3, prolly just out of the picture, im sure a lot of other ppl know this too, but the raspy throaty exhaust is a trademark of the e46 m3.

Its my first post and yup thats an e46 m3 exactly like you guys were saying. My brother's friend has one, and revving in neutral it sounds like that to the T. Just browing the board but i hope to own a MC or MCS one of these days. This community is great!!
