What is the opinion on konig wheels?

Greetings fellow R56'ers,

I actually do like my stock wheels (17" crown spokes), but every once in a while I'll go looking to see if there is anything available that I find appealing.
Came across these this afternoon:
http://altaminiperformance.com/produ...NIG-DAYLITE-17-

Was wondering if anyone had opinions or firsthand experience with Konig wheels? (good or bad)
Getting wheels that are already green would save me from having to powder coat them or get them enameled in green. Plus having lighter wheels (than stock) would probably be a plus.

I want desperately to try Konig's Britelite's in red but am unsure how close to Chili Red they are...
I've heard mixed reviews about Konig overall - it's a cheaper wheel but still pretty good...

I have a set of Koenig "Heliums" as my autocross wheels. They're light and inexpensive, and the finish (silver-painted, in my case) looks good.

I can't comment on their durability, since they're not my daily-driver wheels.

Konig are a solid wheel for a good price. They're very popular in the Miata world. Don't expect junk, but don't expect the cache' of BBS, for example.

I love my Konig Brite Lites. Whenever I'm showing my car to anyone, they always comment about how cool they are. Mine have about 2500 miles on them and since they cheap, if I bang'm up my heart won't be broken. I'm considering buying another set to have on reserve.

As long as they're round, balanced, and light --- that's all that matters.
I'm running semi-disposable Enkei wheels that were on sale for $70.04 each and are 17 lbs.
When Santa or the lotto bless me I'll find something that's 14 lbs...

only problem I've ever had was the red anodizing on the centercap eventually faded to pink, pretty normal for anodizing, otherwise a good quality wheel for the buck.

Anyone tried these Konigs? Saw them on Alta and was instantly hooked. That's what I've been searching for the last few weeks..a black wheel with red trim. The only thing that worries me is the et40 offset. Not planning on dropping the car or a BBK yet, but does anyone know if I'll run into clearance issues or rubbing if I do decide to do those mods in the future?

Konig makes excellent looking wheels with decent quality at a reasonable price. I have their Imagine series.

Best,
T.

I know the thread's on Konig's, but Rota's got a few black w/ red trim as well. I'm really happy with the RB's I got from these guys, they were a perfect fit for my Mini, right down to the TPMS sensor fitment.

was doing some more browsing & spotted the boost available in a flat black w/ red lip as well

I've been running 15" Konig Rewinds daily for a year and a half now, and they still look great. No issues whatsoever. They were only $100 each when purchased, great value on a lightweight wheel for the money spent.

Ordered a set of Konig Daylites in the black and yellow. Hoping the yellow goes with the mellow yellow of my car. Got them from Discount tire for $130 a piece. Should be here by 4/27.

Ha! I did a Photoshop trying to see what that would look like. Post pics when you get them installed so we can see the real thing.

They make it without the yellow line:

Of course, the other options are red, green, and gold, though

Does anyone know if the yellow line matches Mellow Yellow?

I've had my "Britelites" since the day I bought it, 16k miles ago. Balanced easily with minimal weights. The clear coat is a bit soft, though, it has light scratches from washing the TONS of brake dust off every week.
