I have lightning blue with white stripes, but have seen it with black and it looks AWESOME. My next one might be blue black instead of white.

No trouble, man. I'm thinking I might need to pick up a roof rack myself; wish the factory one was easier to put on/take off.

Good luck with the order- weather permitting I should have a few pics of my own in just a few days!

wait... whats midnight blue look like...
correct me if i am wrong, there is lightning blue (pic. above, and laser blue) what is midnight blue?

also... i think the laser blue looks better with a white roof... i know helix one with a black top and doesnt look too bad.... i really want to see one with sport stripes... lightning or laser... its something about that white outline on all the bonnet stripes that just doesnt suite me. maybe if i get the sports package.. the dealer can replace to two.. free of charge... hopefully!

Those stripes are just vinyl anyway. If you paid [the ridiculous] $100 for the OEM stripes, just leave them on for long enough to justify the expense, then yank them off and replace them with black whatever-you-want stripes. That's what I'm doing with the OEM stripes on my CR/B. I'll be replacing them with reverse sport stripes (black on red, red on black) from the front bumper to the back. And better yet, I have a custom vinyl guy nearby who will do the entire thing, plus blacking out most of the chrome aspects of my car, for around $200 for everything. You want want to shop around and see if you can find a custom vinyl shop - they're an asset to have around!

Fantastic lookin mini

Wow ! I also want to thank you for posting these pictures. I am about to place a order for a Mini cooper . " non - s " . But was undecided between Chili Red, Spark Silver, Midnight Red or Lightnin Blue.
I think now after seeing these pictures . I will go with Lightnin Blue with Black roof and stripes. The car just pops in the blue and black

Woot !!!

Thanks to those that posted photos here. I found this thread by searching for Lightning Blue Black and bingo. The cars looked so great I ordered mine in the same config! I love this forum!

stilll no1 with extended sport stripes!
in that case... here is the evolution of my LB/B enspired by this particular thread...
1. i dont know why it looks so purple... most likely because of this silly cell phone picture

2. Dechroming starts at 250ish miles...

3. At 750 miles... prob not recommended but the strut bar and the DYI CAI was installed.

4. TINTS! 20% 3M film

close up...

THANKS NAMERS!

Great looking car

Can I ask why you wouldn't recommend the strut bar and CAI? In particular, the CAI, as I've been planning on throwing my own together in the next few weeks and I'm curious for your perspective.

flyinace - stripes are simply vinyl stickers and not painted on. If you want to swap black for white its not a big deal.

Not black top, and not an S, but the stripes are right (I considered the same combo, but eventually went to the bonnet stripes.)

Thanks for the pics! The second picture pretty much sealed my decision for a color scheme on this thing.
