I know the now discontinued Samsonite luggage set was designed for the pre-R56 model's trunk space. Has anyone used a set in a R56? Just wondering if they still fit like they do in the smaller car. Post pics if you got 'em!

 

I've got them but haven't tried them in an R56.
But since the trunk of the R56 is bit larger I think it would be no problem.
The fit is not that tight.

 

That's what I was thinking as well. I wasn't sure if the side parts of the trunk area stick out more/less than the previous model car even though the R56 is larger.

 

I got a set of these today. Even though the R56 is larger than the 1st gen car, it doesn't look like the trunk space is much different. They fit, but are fairly tight. You have to put them in and take them out in a specific way.

Pics in my gallery. I have the OEM boot mat which has a ridge on the left side about 12" from the edge. The bags fit better opposite from what the pictures show due to this ridge.

I searched for months. Then when I found these I couldn't afford them. The seller held onto them for a few months and let me get them at that point. They were still in the original plastic and had never been used. With all the little Mini tags, locks, etc. They fit my car perfectly.

Keep looking. Right when I bought mine some one else posted they had a set. I'll see if I can find that post.
