Im looking into installing and CompuStar Starter/Alarm on my '07 R56. Anybody know whether this would be a good idea? Has anybody done it? Let me know! Thanks!

I looked into this not too long ago. The remote start part of it is about 900 bucks installed. (on avg). The problem is that BMW didn't make the R56 really compatible with remote starter systems so there are some extra steps that need to be taken to make it work. The kit itself is the expensive part. On top of that you have to keep the key fob in the port at all times and you get a second fob for door locks, trunk etc... that and the price were a big turn off for me.

Looks like that makes Auto Theft 101 a breeze since you're leaving the key fob in the car.

That is the biggest turn off for me with the whole auto start thing. You would think I would like it here in arizona to have the a/c going but I just do not like the thought of the car running without me in it.
