The engine light came on, no problem with power or driving though. Called road side assist since my service dept was closed. They could not tell me if ok to drive so they arranged a tow for the next morning. Called me @ 5am to tell me the tow would be there at 12 noon . I told them not okay, I have to work today. Waited for service to open, told me okay to drive.
Called and cancelled tow. Drove 75mi to dealer. Need re-programming- took 1 hr and I was back on road-thing is it drives even better now than before.

Service tells me this is a regular occurance with 07 builds after March or April. If they knew it was a problem why didn't they "reprogram" it before delivery????
Sure would have saved me time and aggrivation.

Car is 2 months old with 9,000 miles on it. I hope this is it for ridiculous problems.

 

Did they do any thing other than re-set the service reminder?

 

This has been a minor problem with the 07's. all it takes is to have the ECU reprogrammed. No big deal.
