Insulating Materials in the Door Panels

Has anyone opened their door panels to identify if there is any insulation materials attached (glued?) to the metal part of the door? I'm thinking about upgrading the front speakers and if there's no insulation, I'd like to add it.
Regards,

Not directly answering your question, but I've read it's very hard to get any aftermarket insulation in the doors. Lack of space. Apparently your best bet is adding it to the boot and rear seat area.
