Well after two years of building and rebuilding on miniusa I finally have my MCS.

So far it has been a blast to drive and I love everything about it (except a small rattle). I already put the black JCW grill trim on, JCW shift **** and the JCW steering wheel (all great). After three days the car now has over 600 miles on it! Later on I will post some better pics in the R56 pics thread but here are some for now!







Fun story about my girlfriend in the picture above. Over the past couple years she has been anti MINI for various reasons. Doesn't really like the way they look and thinks they are too small... Well needless to say she was not very excited about my ordering my car or my anticipation of taking the delivery. Because I brought my truck back from Florida to sell it she had to help me shuffle my cars around. We went from San Antonio to Houston then to Dallas/Ft Worth. Because I thought she would be safer and it would be easier to drive I had her take the MINI. Well... After the first time she drove it she said it was "okay." Now she is asking if she can drive it almost everytime we go out! Sure went from one extreme to the other!

Very nice! DS/B is quite a sharp combo, especially with the black bonnet stripes. Crown-spokes look really good also, as does the black grille trim.

 

Stationed in Florida with the Navy (flight school) but ordered the MINI from MINI of San Antonio. Up in DFW for xmas and then heading back to Austin in a couple of days. So for right now I am from everywhere!

I got the "Italian air horn" from Griots Garage for Christmas from my brother in law. Might take me a couple of weeks to get it installed due ot time.


All - Thanks for all the comments about the MCS and the gf. They both are keepers in my book! Also, I am sooooo glad I invested in the Passport 9500i before I got the car. Sure am using it a lot now!

My wife was not really into Wensleydale at first either, now she can't wait to go out motoring.....she can't drive manual but she had a blast driving my last loaner with the auto.
