Hey All,

I finally got to pick up my '07 AB/AB MCS the night before last. The car is a blast to drive, but it is missing one thing: stripes!

My challenge, should you choose to accept it: I need stripes, but am having a tough time finding something that goes with my AB/AB color combo. I am leaning toward white and red spaced pinstripe bonnet stripes, like these seen here:

Thoughts? I really like the red and black combo.

I personally like the black w/silver stripes just like the ones in that photo! White looks really good to though..

 

What about red stripes with white outlines? I was also thinking about red and silver ghost stripes (no solid area).

I always thought black stripes would look good on a black car ... but I realize that's not the norm.

 

Frosted is always an option as well. I've got Frosted UJ A-Panels on AB and (IMHO) they look sweet

I'm thinking about doing chrome and white or grey outlines too- red would have been on the short-list, except I'm going for a more mono-chromatic look. AR1's will look nice!

Silver would be cool, but I say keep them like the OEM style where it stops at the front of the bonnet (as opposed to going all the way down). Or, for a bit more bling, gold stripes

 

what about silver with red outlines? Or that combo in viper stripes with a red pin?

Edit: anyone good with photoshop?!!

Also, are these things removesble if god forbid I change my mind in a year?

 

What about a dark grey viper stripe? That would be pretty low contrast and totally cool looking IMO.

 

i was just about to recommend this. also another option i think would look good would be a dark blue color like lightning blue (i could be a little bias on lightning blue though ) red stripes with silver or white outline would be nice also.

 

That would be my choice, the viper stripes are just so nice.

 

I havent seen it in dark grey on either the Mighty Stripes nor the AC website. My problem is that I have a hard time visualizing what this will look like on an AB/AB car.

Just contact the companies and ask for samples. Most will be happy to send you an inch or two of the vinyl. Cooper Flags is the only company that I couldn't seem to get a response from when asked.

 

If I get an Astro Black cooper S, I am thinking of doing matte black stripes on the hood.. maybe a silver outline..

 

I think silver with red pinstripes would look sweeeet.
