Engine Ticking at Idle?

I have a 2007 MINI with 8500 Miles on it. When you start the car, there is a ticking noise that comes from the engine. My first thought is a bad lifter, or oil pressure issue. Any thoughts before I go to the dealer?

Sounds normal: fuel injectors make a ticking sound at idle. But you might want to get it checked out anyway, for peace of mind.

Sounds like a diesel, but it is the direct fuel injection. Normal for this type engine.

Lewis ticks louder than any other MCS I've seen/heard, but SA still said "they all do that" and wouldn't even listen to him. It doesn't go away when he warms up, I can hear it at every idle even with the radio on. I plan to take him in another time, and would advise you to do the same, if just to have a record of a problem early on.
