A Little More BLUE!
My painted fenders FINALLY arrived today!! WOOHOO! I've been waiting on these since BEFORE I picked up Linus from the dealership! I came across a thread on NAM with some photos of a Mini with painted fenders with the Hypersport body kit and knew that I just HAD to get my fenders painted. I didn't know of any good body shops in the area that I specifically wanted to bring Linus to so I started asking around. However, one day, I saw another thread on NAM with a Mini that just got their painted fenders in from Way Motor Works. I decided to go ahead and preorder a set of fenders from Waylen in Laser Blue. I'm sure Waylen was overloaded with orders as painted fenders really do look HOT on a Mini!
I am extremely happy with the quality of the paint job on these fenders. The color matches Linus' Laser Blue pretty much dead on. The fenders were sanded smooth and then primed, painted and clear coated. I think the painted fenders really complete the look I am going for. I love how the whole body just flows now! Also, I think it helps the wheels really stand out. In my opinion, Linus looks like a totally different Mini with his painted fenders!
I also purchased a set of blue tint for my headlights. A NAMer pm'ed me about these blue tints for the headlights. I hadn't seen the blue ones before and really liked the look for them so I decided to go for it! These headlight tints originally came from Lamin-x. Now I've gotta get something for the fog lights too!
Please excuse the dirt on Linus. I need to give him a bath but they're predicting rain today so I wanted to wait until that passed. I'll take some more photos of him after I get him cleaned up.
Thanks for looking and let me know what you think!

And since I don't have any photos of me and Linus, I had my husband take one

Do you have all your mods listed somewhere, guess I will have to follow your link?

what kind of turn signal light bulbs are you using and do you have a link to where i can buy them? im tired of the orange bulb making my 100 dollar option look useless!
I think the hypersport kit really looks nice with the painted fenders but for my standard S body, i prefer the black fenders... i like the contrast.

Thanks everyone! I am REALLY digging these painted fenders!
Thanks Kevin! I finally heard back from the dealer about my JCW wing. They will let me return it if it's in like new condition - which it is. So, I think that's what I'm going to do. I could just retape it nicely and that would take care of the whistling but it just irks me that something I paid $600 for has a defective design! Anyways, I know some people don't like it, but I'm going to go with the Palo Uber wing for now.
Thanks! Next, I am anxiously awaiting my carbon fiber door handles and gas cap from Mike at AC. After that, my new wing, and after that...I really don't know! Probably a bunch of CF stuff on the inside and I would love to get the JCW steering wheel later on. Uh-oh...I'm starting to run out of stuff to do LOL!
My Mini actually never came with orange side repeater lenses. Mine were always clear. I think the S comes with clear ones? I'm actually planning on putting some Laser Blue vinyl on the reflectors on the fenders (the orange ones in the front and the red ones on the back) so I think the orange calipers will really stand out.
I actually didn't get the clear turn signal option on mine. We removed the amber turn signal lens covers from the headlights and the bulb in it was already clear. I'm guessing you shouldn't have a hard time finding a clear bulb to replace your orange one though.

Thanks guys!
The Komodo Dragon isn't for sale. That was just a photo Sean had taken at the Audobon Zoo here in New Orleans. Unfortunately, you can't get Komodo Dragons since they are an endangered species. The closest thing you can get to a Komodo Dragon would be a Crocodile Monitor or Lace Monitor or something like that.

The new spoiler won't come in until probably the middle to end of January. I'm ordering one without the logo. As for tint, I actually have tint on all the windows except for the windshield. I had 20% put on because I didn't want to go TOO dark...
Thanks! I actually really like Hyper Blue too. I also love your Mini's name!

I would agree - give Way about it! They aren't listed on his website yet but he's got them available. I think when he had mine done, they did an extra set of Laser Blue by accident. I don't know if they've been sold yet or not but if someone's got LB and wants some painted fenders, you might not even need to wait for them!
