Tuning Now or Later?

IAM PICKING UP MY MINI S FROM THE DEALER, BUT I HAVE A DILEMA WITH THE TUNNING KIT, SHOULD I WAIT FOR THE ENGINE BREAKING PERIOD OR GO AHEAD WITH THE JCW TUNNING KIT NOW......

I would say now as well. Do any of the JCW kit parts need breaking-in also? If so, you'd take care of all break-in over one time period.

From what I understand, the JCW kit is really felt at higher rpms (higher than what the break-in rpm limit is).....so you might as well do it now since you can't (shouldn't) really "explore" the JCW potential prior to engine break-in anyway.

Hope you got it right away... if you are eventually going to get it, get it now, because a lengthy trip to the dealer later is just not worth it I'd say!

nothing in this years JCW that needs to be broke in like last years did.

if you wait you won't have to go through a break in period again.
if you don't wait you'll have it NOW.
if you wait you may decide on aftermarket

I say break it in as stock.

Get to know the car for a while first. You'll both notice and appreciate the changes more that way.
