So given the experience of people in the NY area, my car has been ordered. Production date of 12/4. When might it get to the dealer? What has been your experience?

 

It really does vary by quite a bit- you could probably expect 4-5 days for production, around a week for waiting to ship to the east coast, another week for shipping time, 4-5 days again for the VDC, plus trucking time to your dealer and prep time while they shine it up when it arrives.

Add-ons like the JCW aero kit take more time at the VDC, and dealer installed options make for extra waiting time too.

You might even get a Mini for Christmas Congrats- hope the wait's not too terrible!

 

I ordered on 10/17 and the car should be here December 3rd or 4th.

I think six weeks is the minimum and 8 being the longest with exceptions.

If I had to take a guess you car will be at the dealer January 15th

Edit: Being in NY you may be looking at closer to 5th of January.

 

It's generally a month from production date to delivery - given if it has any special options (iPod adapter) that need to be installed at the VDC that may add a day or two.
