I have a R56 with 3300 miles fairly gentle miles that has developed what can only be described as a "stress" crack in the windshield. Absolutely not caused by stone or other similar damage. It extends from the right A-Pillar approximately 8" toward the center of the windshield. "Pudge" is equipped with a JCW Strut brace. Any of you with similar issue?

 

Search the "Stock problems/issues" forum. I remember seeing another post about a stress fracture of the windscreen. Sounds like the same location too. Good luck!

My 04MC had a stress crack and was replaced by the dealer under warranty. I don't think they have ever solved the stress crack problem in R53 or now R56. Check with your dealer.
