Spots on bonnet stripe?

I received my Cooper S a couple of weeks ago, and this past weekend was the first time I washed it. I noticed there appeared to be water marks (bubbles?) on one of the bonnet stripes.. I don't have any pictures on hand at the moment to show. I remember seeing the spots at the dealership but I thought they were just because the car was recently washed (it was still a little wet when I picked it up).

My question is, would this be something the dealership would fix?

Do you mean air bubbles trapped under the stripes?
If so, dealer should fix it.

Factory install=Warranty repair. They should fix it.

fix it = replace the stripe.

Ok I just got the car back from service at the dealership. Heres what happened.

At first they didnt know what was responsible for the spots on the bonnet stripes.. they were indeed stains. They didn't know until after they had washed the car or something and noticed a trail coming from the windshield wiper valve (the thing that sprays your windshield with fluid). Apparently the valves are defective and MINI had issued a bulletin about them... So they replaced the valves with the new improved valves. As for the stripes that got ruined, the body shop will replace (fix) them. Cool huh

I have the same problem. I picked up my car on Monday (10/8). I noticed it on the first day and I thought it was a water/residue from car wash. I will have to call the dealer and find out what they plan to do with it.

The paint around the windshield viper valves is uneven. it looks like they painted over flattened bubbles.

I hate it...

I pulled my stripes off this weekend with a hairdryer and my 2 year old's help in about 15 minutes. Best thing I have done in a long time. They are cheap plastic slap ons that spot water and collect dirt on the edges. Mini should really do better than this. I think it's just a goofy teenager accessory, but that's just my opinion. It looks great on some cars, especially if you get someone like Aesthetic Creations to complete them.

My car is with the dealer now. Removing the stripes and re-applying them is not a problem but the liquid runoff underneath the paint around window wash jets require 10 business days of work.

I am worried if the body shop is going to do a good job or not.
