So I was driving down the road that my MINI dealer is on.(I haven't ordered my car yet.) And as I was driving past the dealer I saw a big truck with two brand new MINI's coming in. I got so jealous but then I decided to think about how happy those two people who are getting their cars the next day will be. I can't wait to be that person!!!!

We did the same thing when Tüls' MINI was on order but we couldn't resist the urge to stop and drool over the new shipment...turns out his MINI cam a month early!!! He gave it a big giant hug and waiting until they opened the next day was horrendous. LOL

haha thanks! I have to admit I have stopped by the dealer in the middle of the night to look at the MINI's without a dealers trying to eat me alive. It was a nice glimpse of the car to come. I can't wait. What was the first thing you did when you got yours?

When I took delivery of my first MINI on Aug. 28, 2002, I drove home the really super-long way! I was so extremely thrilled that I didn't even listen to music. I just wanted to hear my MINI's engine. In fact, it wasn't until I'd had the MINI for several weeks that I first listened to the radio or played a CD. It was such a special time!! Savor your delivery and be sure to take loads of pix. Have them take pix of you grinning, too.

I can relate, I don't listen to music nearly as much anymore, I just love the sound of my car!

The waiting is the hardest part...but hang in there, it's worth it

If I were a MINI father - I'd be a father seven times over.. :-) and it never changes. It's always a great feeling getting the car that you ordered. Truth be told, I've only ordered three out of the seven - but the ones that I ordered have always been the best ones!

It's tough to be patient - maybe the dealer will let you take one of the demos out on a test drive? Then again that's akin to adding gasoline to the fire of desire.

Since getting my Alta CAI I started listening more to my car...and I reaaaaallly love the sound of my car!!!
