I got my second Mini Adventure Kit a couple of days ago with the dice instead of the 8ball. Now I have two toppers for different moods. ;-) I too got my first one in Oct. Is this going to be a twice-yearly thing or is it just coincidence?

I put my window stickers on the rear window. The little red round rubber ball is for the top of your antenna to give it some extra personality - and maybe find it easier in the parking lot.

 

Could you take a pic of the carbon dash plaque? They sent out different kits and would like to see what this plaque is

On an unrelated note or semi related, I was thinking
about taking the window stickers that came in the first
kit and arranging them to say
"hang up the phone and motor"

Guys, I took delivery of my vehicle on 1/31/08 and last week I got a somewhat damaged box in the mail saying it was a MINI adventure kit. It had a secret compartment with a bunch of stuff that I totally didn't understand how to use. I don't get the glasses, i don't get the decrypter and the little card that comes with it. I placed the decrypter over the instruction card and put the glasses on, but didn't see any message.

I also got a mousepad, a rubber die antenna topper, some silly cards with MINIs on them, a nice pen, a journal and some window poetry.

Can someone please explain this decrypter crap to me?

got mine earlier this week although I bought the car at the end of January. I was hoping for a kaleidescope for some reason...lol. Got the same crap as everyone else, some of which is useful. I received a die as my antenna topper.

 

I got my second kit today. I think it has slightly different decoder stuff and antenna ball #2 is white with a union jack instead of an 8-ball.

Also I think my roadside service card that came in it has a different 'in serivice' date on it.

 

I got my kit 5 months after I got my MINI. Those of you who are still looking for your kit in the mail- I'd give it at least a year.

 

I got my kit yesterday! Took about 8 weeks from emailing them and requesting it. The antenna ball I got is a dice.

 

Reference the Mini Adventure Kit. The first kit that was sent to me weeks after delivery of my car was damaged and the kit was lost. I got the piece of cardboard with my address on it. I called Mini and another kit was sent. Poor packaging must be costing Mini lots of money and the need to reship kits. I got the 2nd kit and opened it. Most of the items were of no use to me. The only item I kept was the pen.

 

Can someone please explain to me the glasses and decoding stuff? how do I use this? Is that card supposed to be place somewhere?

Donna, I appreciate your kindness. I thought I was supposed to place that decrypter over the card that came with it and I couldn't get it to work at all.

 

i really just didn't want him to be disappointed. too much of a tease with nothing to come into fruition, i suppose.

 

I do not think I've ever gotten such a kit.

 

YAY! I got a super duper special Clubman edition Adventure Kit this weekend. It has a ZUG emblem that is meant to straddle the rear doors, and the widow poetry, journal, pen, decoder kit, and Manual. Fun fun fun!

 

Cool^^ We should be getting ours any day then too....Yayyy!!

I just got my 3rd kit today. Funny I had to email and request the first kit, now I've received 3 since then. This one was personalized like the first kit I got. Everything was the same (pen, book, window poetry, etc) except instead of the dice antenna ball I got in the first 2 kits, I received a yellow smiling ball.

So what's the record? Anyone received more than 3 kits?

 

Just had my Cooper S for 5 days now and can't wait to get a kit...if they ever send one :-)

 

Got my Adventure Kit today. I was on vacation, it must of arrived sometime around July 3. I bought my car on Memorial Day..not bad..two national holidays..and I have my Kit!

 

I got my adventure kit on 1/14/09. I took delivery of my MINI on 11/15/08, so almost 2 mos exactly.

 

Pretty much a worthless "feel-good" kit. I bought a Ford Focus in 2001 and received a nice Casio Watch! Sorry, but paper 3-D glasses just don't do it for me!
