Got my baby!

Picked up my baby Saturday morning. Ordered July 14, arrived at the dealer August 14. Hope to have pics sometime soon. Chili Red/White combo Cooper S, automatic, white sport stripes, sunroof, sport and hyper sport packages (I know the hyper areo kit is not a poplular pick, but I really love the look with chili red, was the first at Prestige to order it), cold weather package, driving lights, brushed alloy w/ rooster red, chrome interior trim, checkered cloth seats, Hi Fi stereo...and I dunno, something else I'm probably forgetting at the moment.

Took the car on it's 2 hour journey home from the dealer. Bought it in Jersey, live in northeast PA. Noticed some of the washer jet weeping when I got home, but not sure if was just from the long highway driving or if it'll be an ongoing thing. Took a few small trips around home here and didn't notice more. Everything else seems great so far. There are a ton of features to take in so I'm still exploring and being blown away with all the stuff that's adjustable or programmable. So far, everyone I've shown it to has been very impressed. Find myself checking outside a lot to look at it to make sure it's real!

UPDATE: Here's some pics! Man, drove it around town for about two hours today and I feel like there's trouble waiting at every turn to strike my poor baby, lol. It's like I pay attention to every little detail of what everbody else is doing. I'm sure the tension will ease some in the weeks to come. This is my first brand new car, so I'm driving a bit on edge with it for now. Fantastic car to drive though.

Congrats. Sounds like you'll be having miles of smiles with your new MCS.

So where are the pictures. I'd like to see your CR with hypersport.

Thanks guys! I should have some pics up later today. I must be like the last person on earth without a digital camera, but my brother is coming over later with his and we will snap some pics. For now, gonna take a little cruise and mess around with the stereo some more.

Not so sure honestly. I mean, I am on the east coast which I understand is faster than elsewhere. But I was initially told 6-8 weeks. Was a little shocked when I got the call that it was at the dealer exactly 4 weeks to the date I went out to order. I don't think it spent but a day or two at the VDC. Came in so early that I didn't even have all the loan and insurance stuff squared away so I had to wait another week before I could get out to the dealer to pick it up.

I ordered mine on July 14th as well. According to the tracker, my MINI is "en route" - so I am assuming still several weeks out. It probably doesn't help that I am on the West Coast.

Congrats on the new ride!!!

I hear that the Chili Pepper Red w/white is a great combo. I love it! I'm sure you'll have pics for us soon.

I have extra dichroic (sparkle) lampworked (formed glass)Chili Pepper Red chili peppers. Mine is hanging from the rear view along with a lampworked dragon to match. I had to space them so that the would not hit the windshield or each other. I've received many nice comments about them. I'm making it a Chili Pepper Red Mini accessory. You can view the pics in my thread titled "Delivery Evening Photos".

Happy and safe motoring!!! Be nice to your new baby during the break in period.

Cool pepper! That's the next thing I have to do, buy some accessories. Definitely have to get all new washing materials too. Sorry I didn't put the pics in thumbnails, still a little new to this site.

Spectral, Very nice CR. Enjoy the many fun drives with your MCS. I thought the covers for your driving lights had embossed MINI on them?

Enjoy your MINI and drive safe.

Thanks, will do. Yeah, the covers have MINI on them, hard to see with the lighting in the other pics.

Nice

Very nice ride. Decided on a name yet? I do believe had there been no pepper white I definitely would have gone for the CR..but had to be a vert!
