Notice any changes after the break-in period?

How does the MINI feel to drive after break in period, or as it ages? Right now I notice a slight hesitation when I press on the accelerator, before it moves forward. Also find it's hard to break gently enough to not feel a slight jerk back (didn't think I had a lead foot).

The brakes get much less grabby, and the tires grip better.

I found the car much better behaved after 500-600 miles.

I'll agree with all of the above, brakes and tires are broken in and an increase in MPG. I'm up to averaging about 28 in the city in my MCSa. I got 36.1 on a 250 mile highway trip last weekend. The MCSa is rated at 26/33. I'm very pleased.

Turn on the Sports button. That hesitation may go away.

Also find it's hard to break gently enough to not feel a slight jerk back (didn't think I had a lead foot).
Yea, I still find that at 2,700 miles. The brake pedal doesn't take near the pressure my Integra requires, so I may be having difficulty getting used to it.

I found that the car seemed much smoother... but that could be just because I've gotten used to it. It feels like an extension of your body on the road!

I noticed a change following break in. The pedal under my right foot has been continuoulsy on the floor. I don't know what causes that.

800 miles was the magic number for me where everything instantly felt smoother, MPG went up.

I thought you meant after break-in

Since I don't have a 2nd gen car, isn't sport mode just a different throttle mapping?

Scary face I thought you meant like Widowmaker fast (GT2)

Economy definately changed from first tank to my 4th. Started w/ 32mpg, my 4th tank (I think, filled up around 1300mi) put me at 22.5mpg.

Ok, that last tank included 8 trips down the dragstrip and 4 autox runs.
