Is it illegal to have translucent (red) stripes run down your back window in NM or other states? Has anyone seen this done? Would a typical custom window graphics shop be able to do this?

I'll be having my windows tinted, but I'm thinking it'd be fun to have the red sport stripes continue off the black roof, down the back window, to meet the stripes on the boot.

I don't see why it would be illegal. Most restrictions would be for lights or visibility. If you can't see out your rear window, you have to have side mirrors. The only way to be 100% sure though is to stop by your local law enforcement office and ask.

I have my sunroof done so that I can see out of it...

same stuff they wrap buses in. contra-vision is one name for it.
