Had a MINI wash today.

Got Tallulah 7/21/07. MCa, Sparkling Silver, Premium Package, Leatherette, Piano Black.

Kiwi came home 7/11/06. Austin Mini 1000, 4 speed, with HEATER! Woo-Hoo!

Mini S Pilot - you have enough people trying to skateboard in your MINI that you have to hang a sign in there?

I think the sign says "no skateboarders," hence the reason for the hubby trying to hide.

 

The sign is on the street. Since the MINI is technically a skateboard, it means that it is illegally parked.

I enjoyed your photos. Makes me want to consider driving down for next year's event.

I love the graphics. Those side ones look especially sharp. They did a nice job.

 

Thank you, we really enjoyed the event. Taking pictures to share and our own memories is our payback to the folks who visit NAM.

Hope you decide to come out next August, look for the event information. Register early and get a Silver room at Copper, ask for soft pillows.

Driving lights and 18" wheels are forthcoming. I have not picked out wheels yet and may wait until next year for them.

I previously had a 2002 MCS.

Likes:
* Feeling of "refinement" like a little BMW
* More perceived power!
* Quieter interior
* Quieter with windows down and sunroof open
* Telescoping steering wheel column
* Better ride, less jarring, even with runflats
* Perceived better handling
* More comfortable seats
* Hidden compartment
* Bodystyle looks a little better IMHO
* Much better Air Conditioner!

Dislikes:
* Ugly, annoying controls and layout
* No temp gauge?
* Ugly, vague "flower" gas gauge
* Annoying chimes
* Annoying push button start
* Annoying seatbelt
* Ugly black plastic "plugs" because I did not get rear fog lights
* Kind of loose mouldings around rear windows
* Sport button concept sucks, does NOT remember to stay on when restarted
* Gigantic speedometer is ugly
* Turn signal control stays on too easily and engages too easily
* Suspension sits approx. 1 1/2" inch higher than old. Lots of space above wheels and looks bad. I may have to lower it which I should not have to do!
* Brakes (calipers) prevent my snow tire rims from fitting. Spacers may be a work-around
* Different size lug bolts
* Lots of "greasy" brake dust these first couple hundred miles. I hope it gets better
* Lumbar adjustment not standard on seats, only upgraded leather ones

As you can see, the 2007 MCS is not perfect... but still better than the 2002. I do think the 2007 is somewhat overrated but am happy with my purchase.

P.S. The first day I had it the CEL came on. I am hoping its a software problem... will have it checked this week.
