my MINI!!! Picked him up this afternoon. Mad props to the guys at Sandia MINI for making my day and getting me my car! My MA is out of town until Wednesday, but the other MA there and the General Manager worked there butts off to get my car ready for me to pick up today. I still have to take it back tomorrow morning though to have them detail it, cuz they didn't have time to do it today.

Only took 7 weeks from order to delivery. Not too shabby, but it felt like a LOT longer! :impatient My deepest sympathy goes to everyone currently enduring the wait. It's awful, but this car is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO worth it!!!

OK, and now, the pics. I'll have more (better pics) tomorrow and Wednesday cuz I took the next 2 days off work to motor!

Thanks! I'm absolutely, positively in LOVE with this little bugger. Too much fun. Driving should always be this fun. If only all the goombas driving SUVs and 4 door sedans could experience these cars, they might see what they've been missing!

Where did you buy it, seeing you're from NM? Albuquerque or Texas? And btw it's a great looking car (as are all of ours really but especially yours). But in NM you can find a lot more places to open it up than most of us out here. You won't get stopped in NM unless you're on I40 or I10.

 

Newt, I bought it from Sandia MINI in Albuquerque, cuz that's where I live. The guys there have been great through the whole process. Hopefully their service department will be just as great when it comes time to install the JCW kit!!!

You are absolutely right about the lack of speeding ticket givers in NM. Of course you DO have to look out for Tribal police depending on where you are. Their fines can be WAY worse the NM State or local police fines.

 

I got my last speeding ticket driving through NM on my way to the armpit of the US (Lubbock, Texas) for a softball tournament. A caravan of vehicles was going....well, fast...and the cop was sitting on an overpass. He snuck up behind us and pulled over all 7 of us. We were all ticketed.

 

Doh!!! That sucks! Just FYI though, El Paso is the armpit of the US, not Lubbock.
