Will the real Venom please stand up?

Hello All,

I just picked my MCS up Tuesday evening. Don't have decent pictures yet, but I snapped these with my phone while my buddy and I were out picking up some Fantasy Football magazines for our upcoming season. Man, was this car worth the wait!

Black on Black on Black

The MCS is a must have, but what's with the Black color with the black roof and the black interior.

With all of that black, it looks like a regular Cooper. You need to splash some contrasting color in there to show off the bonnet intake!

I beg your pardon! This is MY Mini. Black on black, under black, inside black is me. That's what I like. My contrast is the chrome. How dare you call my car "regular"! All the comments I get are of the "I've never seen one like that" variety. Where do you get off critiquing my car? You splash yours however you like, and I'll stick to what I want. Thank you very much!

C'mon be honest out there!

No offense, I'm just being honest on how the car comes off. There are too many patronizing posters in this group.

I blame your MA - they should have explained there are more colors than black. I get that you're from Texas and that you couldn't splash some color on your car or the hillbillies would bust your stones and question your manhood.

I'm just saying that MINI's are fun cars that are offered in funky colors and options not offered by the Detroit and Japanese Automakers. Embrace it! That's the point of buying a MINI - you're buying a product that is inherently unique. To downplay the uniqueness is beyond me.

Buying a MINI and going all black is like owning a bulldog and dressing it up in a leather jacket with a leather cap and a spiky collar too macho it up. You got a bulldog, embrace it and throw a flag on the roof or something.

Nothing wrong with all black, makes it look different for a MINI, that's why we special order, to make it ours.

Look out Spidey!

UC --- Venom ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been waiting for him to arrive to see the actual pics....soooo sweet!
Best of luck to you!

To Franinpa: Relax! It's all MINI in the end! Your point is valid, but everyones taste is different. UC did choose his own color scheme, for HIS car, a cool monochromatic look accented by chrome. Will everyone love it? No, but does HE love it? Of course, and really that's all that matters......

That's the beauty of MINI customizing!

You do not embrace what owning a Mini and being a NAM member is all about. You do embrace America and freedom of speech.

AB/AB looks cool to me, too. I'm just waiting for someone to slap some red LED's in the hoodscoop and naming their car KITT 2.

You know what? You're about to p _ _ _ me off! First of all, I didn't ask you for your opinion. I didn't post pictures of my car and proclaim how great I thought it looked or anything like that. I simply followed the protocol of the site, showing what my new arrival looked like. Second, who do you think you are? Your initial post effectively insulted all non-MCS owners, then you follow up by calling Texans "hillbillies", and you have hit me up from all angles. Blame my MA??? What the heck is that supposed to mean? I was well aware of the other colors available. I bought my wife a Chili-Red MC with a black roof 2 months before I ordered my AB MCS. There was never any other option for me however. I didn't care what other colors there were, I wanted BLACK. As far as the uniqueness of the MINI, I'm not "downplaying" anything. I bought what I wanted with MY money! I'm a grown-a_ _ man, and I'm not about to allow someone to proceed to tell me what I should and should not do, especially when I didn't ask, and even worse, someone I don't even know! Do us all a favor and keep your unsolicited advice to yourself if you can't come across any better than what you have.

Thanks, and don't worry. If I do anything at all, I may buy the chrome hood scoop. I debated over ordering it when I built my car online, but since it's a dealer-installed item, I figured that was one less thing factored into my monthly payment. I wanted the driving lights too, same scenario. I like it like it is, so I may stand pat. We'll see.

I've been wanting to do that since the first "new" mini came out!!!! Now that I'm only a few days from owning an all "BLACK" mini, it might be a possibility!!!
