Ignition Noise On My FM?

Had my '07 S now since mid-April (clocked over 8K miles too!) & have begun noticing ignition noise coming in on my FM radio when it gets dampish... which has been happening a lot in Chicago area recently.

It's me, too; I can still hear it when there's no other vehicle around. I opted for the HiFi Sound System but suspect I have the same radio/CD player as does ever other 2007 MINI driver.

Didn't have this problem with the '03 I just sold (133K miles).

Anyone else have this annoyance?

Sounds like one of the ignition suppression modules, that is standard on all autos has failed. You should not be having any engine interferance noises reach the radio. check the ground strap to the hood/bonnet, make sure that its ok. I have the hi Fi myself with no problems. Maybe a trip to the dealer is justified.
