Wierd thing happend with my car today.

I started my car earlier and put it in reverse and started backing up, then i felt like the car lost power. A warning sign came up on the navigation screen and told me to shut engine down and check oil pressure or something like that. So i turned off my car. My car was in the way of things so i decided to restart my car and see if it would work. My car started fine and the problem hasn't happend since. Does anyone have any idea what could have happened? Was it just a software glitch or something?

This may be a silly question, but did you check your oil?

I had that happen in my old 2000 vw beetle. I took it in and they said there was a pin size hole in one of the hoses. Not sure if that correlates to a Mini, but thought i'd share anyways.
