I guess this isn't R56 specific but does anyone have any suggestions for a good remote starter?

I'd like to know if a remote starter can be installed in a 2008 Mini.

Any experience from R56 owners?

 

i think the general consensus is that its not possible, or would be very very expensive. the complicated electronics, as well as the awkward key make it nearly impossible.

 

The MINI website shows that you can buy a remote starter, or "independent heating" as they call it... I don't know how much it costs, but it says you can heat up your car from either the keychain button, or you can use your cellphone and call it.
