My rear fog light bulb exploded in the housing last night (as in it shattered). I managed to get out the stub of the bulb with a potato, but I don't know what size the bulb is now. The owners manual says P 21 W but looking at both AutoZone and Murray's there is no bulb that is that size. I even asked and the guy at Murry's didn't even know what a rear fog light was.

I looked up a P 21 W on the web but it doesn't have the right connector. As far as I can tell the rear bulb is a 194 but I don't know. Can anyone help?

 

Does this look like the bulb? If so, it is listed as 194.

 

I'm guessing so, but the only part I still have left is the bottom connector piece. The rest of it is in little shards all inside my fog light housing.

 

If the fog light on the base model is anything like on the S, it's held in place by two clips, one on the left and one on the right, you might have to get under the rear of your car to be sure. You could just pop the rear fog light out and shake the pieces out.

OK, so after much research, and then finally pulling the bulb out of my rear-fogs, the number on the bulb is 921, not 194. 194 is basically a W5W, same bulb as in your side scuttles. But as mentioned before, I don't have the stock fog lights and I have a S.

Try the ultra white or even the red halogen type.
