I'm with dwjj on spirited breakin. No real need to run much over 4500-5000 rpms anyway as the power starts to taper off. Your ear/butt can be trained to not exceed 4500(by too much)! Shift @ 4500 and repeat and you'll be in lock-up speeds(if caught) anyway. Frankly, I did the same kind of initial run for over 250 mi, just kept it a little slower. Still used the right pedal really hard. Still do and am hoping to not get a ticket. You didn't hurt anything.

These cars are amazing. Keep using it, change the oil, repeat.
