Conflicting Info

ok i'm starting to worry a little bit..............my MA told me to call him today to just check in with him before i went on my mission trip this friday so we can see where my mini sits. his information and the info on the mini owners lounge both say my mini is still waiting transport. but when i go to Wellenius Wilhelmsen site it says my mini is on the ship Integrity. when i go to Sailwx.info it doesn't give any info on the ship Integrity.

so my questions are which info is right the mini's owner's lounge or the Wellenius Wilhelmsen? how long does it take the mini owner's lounge info to be updated? it's been saying awaiting transport since wednesday/thrusday. one last question how long does it take for the sailwx.info site to have any info from the ships?

i ask this in the R56 Production Week 28 Support Group thread but i figured more people would see it here.

thanks

The MINIUSA.com web site is slow to update. You can get more up-to-date info by calling 1-866-ASK MINI (1-866-275-6464).

I suspect the WW site is correct. Sailwx.info depends on the captain of the ship calling in local weather reports. Some WW captains do this, some do not. The ISOLDE never called in and Sailwx had no info on it.

When the Ingerity gets to Panama you can track it with this site.

Don't pay too close of attention. My '06 went from "Awaiting Transportation" to "At your MINI Dealer" in 2 days. The reality is, while I was thinking it was awaiting space on a ship, it had been put on the Integrity, had arrived in port and was transported to the dealer. IIRC, the Integrity does not transmit location data, so you can't track it in the WW site.

The "Track your MINI" thing seems really cool, but it doesn't really live up to the hype, in my experience.

Best of luck on your new car, though!

k thanks ask mini keeps telling me the same info as the owner's lounge. my mini is going to port at south carolina so won't be going through the panama canal, but thanks for the site anyways.

thanks for the info.

thanks skidmike for the info about the integrity, i'm a track-a-holic (when i have stuff coming on ups i track it everyday till it gets to my house) so now at least i know i don't have to check the sailwx site daily.

The Mini owners lounge was consistantly wrong for me. Your MA should have the correct information above all.

That is somewhat comforting news. On the 28 week suppor thread the Tarifa left today with all but 2 cars that were on dock and I'm still showing nada. Zip. My MA has no more than I'm on dock so he's less informed than threads on NAM. This is giving me hives!!

he's showing the same thing that the owner's lounge is showing sitting at the port. that's what has me worried, cause i the WW site is showing my mini on there and i went through at the mini vins on that ship and found my mini's VIN.

so i'm hoping my MINI is on the Integrity

The information from MINI won't change from at port until after the ship is actually underway, and even then with a delay compared to the info from WW. If WW has your VIN as loaded, I would trust it

just my 2cents

MIMI was waiting at the dock when the MAERSK WAVE arrived. However, it filled up and left mine behind. I had to wait an extra week for ISOLDE to arrive.

Mine did the SAME thing. Thankfully, the Capt. of the Undine had is weather reporting device turned on so I tracked it across. But, when they get close to land, they turn them off.

Here is the latest information from the Integrity before she went off from the AISLive site.

It looks to have an ETA of the 22nd in NY.

The Owners Lounge has never been accurate about the shipping info...not since it originated in 2002. WW's site is always the most accurate, from my experience. The last part of the wait is definitely the hardest. Hang in there, soul embrace!

You're very welcome. Aye, the waiting is terrible, terrible I say.

Especially if you are on the West Coast. My Mini has been at sea for 14 days now, it is just about to pass through the Miraflores locks at the Panama Canal and then I have about another weeks worth of waiting before it makes it to the VDC.

+1 since you and I are in the same boat (literally )

... and then a likely 5 days at the VDC, then another 1-3 for trucking it up from SoCal, and add a few more at the Dealer. Will the waiting ever end? impatient
