The great color dilehma

Well, the time to order my r56 is coming near. The only thing I have left to do is pick ot a color. I've pretty much narrowed it down to chili red or lightning blue. Either way, theyre going to have a white roof and white crown spokes. I've scoured the "Post your pictures here thread", but I was wondering if there were any more pictures out there with these specific combinations. If you have one, could you please post it? Thanks always NAM

OMG when I first glanced at the thread title "the great color dilehma" dilehma did not read as dilehma to me.

The word I saw made for an extremely scarily interesting title.

p.s. both color combos look great. red/white is classic but it is also the most common.

I found that to be quite funny being just above the thumbnail in your sig.

Either option makes for a very happy MINI, as opposed to a dour, serious MINI like DS/B.

I'd go with LB because red cars stand out too much at times when you may not want to stand out (e.g. when speeding). Plus, it's a little less cute than CR. I'd also paint the black trim to match since I think that looks really sharp with a white roof.

You might want to check with your insurance company too. I was told that red cars get charged a higher premium than other colors.

Those were the 2 colors I was deciding on too, except with a black roof. When I was picking up my car there was a CR/B right next to my LiB/B that was waiting to get picked up by someone else. When I saw the 2 side by side like that I was really happy I went with the LiB.

I went for lighting blue, it looks great in sun or shade and trims out great with chrome or black.

Same here. I thought the thread was going to be a commentary on the Hot Chocolate Clubman.

Well, I test drove a CR and I saw one parked down here and it was basiclly the car I fell in love with. In fact, I saw dont even know if I saw Lightning blue in person. I absolutely love it in pictures, but my MA that it was lighting blue on a cabrio, and I just thought it looked purple. Unfortunately, I'm colorblind when it comes to blues and purple. Oh, and as far as common, the nearest dealer is in 200 miles away, so theres like only two Mini's I saw in town. Well, I'm in Iraq now, and believe it or not, we saw the old mini (pre BMW) putting around the street. My buddies were all like, is that the car you're getting? Anyways, thanks for the input, but anyone have pics that could make my decision a little easier. Interior is going to be the black lounge leather with piano black and white colorline. I might go with navigation and bluetooth, but I much more prefer the JCW stage 1, it just depends if it's released on time or not. I plan on ordering early July so when I get home I can make the roadtrip to go pick her up. Or maybe it's a him. Too many decisons.

Is this the lightning blue you're talking about. If so, wow! Go for it.
